26 China hotels received the accreditation
According to the survey
conducted by asia-hotels.com, 26 China hotels received the accreditation.
Shangri-Las chain of hotels (0069) is the champion with 7 of its hotels being
accredited.
Over 42,000 customers from
162 countries voted in asia-hotels.coms search for Asias best hotels, 183
hotels received accreditation based on the survey in 2002. Top 20 best business
hotels in Asia include Peninsula Hong Kong, Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong and
Grand Hyatt Shanghai China. Grand Hyatt Shanghai is located in Pudong, the
citys new financial and trade district.
Most
of the accredited hotels in China are with 5 star ratings, except for Traders
Hotel Beijing, Holiday Inn Pudong Shanghai and Shangri-La Hotel Hangzhou. Apart
from White Swan and Garden Hotel Guangzhou, accredited hotels in China are
members of famous hotel chains, e.g., Shangri-La hotel, Sheraton, Holiday Inn
and Hilton.
