Cendant's newly acquired Asia-hotels.com joins Flairview Travel

HONG KONG – Following Asia-hotels.com’s acqusition by Cendant Travel Distribution Services (TDS) last week, it is "joining forces" with another subsidiary, Sydney-based Flairview Travel, which is touted to be Asia Pacific’s leading online accommodation wholesaler and operator of websites.

The integration is aimed at consolidating Flairview’s leadership position and delivering increased Asian content to its customers. Combined, Asia-Hotel.com and Flairview Travel have a base of over 6.5 million hits every month.

" This move allows the two companies to concentrate on core competencies while providing opportunities to leverage on respective unique strengths: Flairview Travel’s involvement will allow Asia- hotels.com to utilize the HotelClub.com and RatesToGo.com technology and multi language booking services; while Asia-hotels.com will be able to devote resources in the Asian markets where it has extensive knowledge of the marketplace," the management said.

This collaborative strategy will be led by Leon Kamenev, Managing Director of Flairview Travel.

Co-founders of Asia-hotels.com Jon Stonham, based in Hong Kong, and Riyaz Moorani, based in Manila, have assumed new roles within Cendant TDS.
