Guest comments	Quite a nice hotel to stay at but it's not in the best location. It's not near the downtown area of Kyoto so you have to catch a bus or a train to get most places. There are a couple of temples/shrines in walking distance though.

Guest comments	I had an enjoyable stay at Apa Horikawadori; service and facilities were absolutely fine and staff were very helpful (and English-speaking). The room is small, but this is to be expected in Japan. The location 5 minutes walk from JR Kyoto Station was convenient for me, however it is not near the major tourist sites.
