| Guest comments | The location of this hotel is excellent, an easy walk to most places you would want to visit (covered markets, shops, restaurants, nightlife) with the exception of the many temples, which may require a bus/subway journey. The hotel was excellent, delivering top quality recently rennovated rooms and numerous and helpful english speaking staff. The hot baths/spa costs $15 but there is a deal on multiple visits, and it's very nicely done. We were asked to upgrade our room at check-in to a superior room, if we wanted to have a baby crib in the room, but since we were staying 5 nights, the extra $9 per night was hardly significantm and a pleasure to have the extra space. | ||

| Guest comments | Beautiful hotel with amazing staff, my tour bus left without me one morning but the hotel concierge, even though he had no affiliation the tour group company, went out of his way to contact them and told me how to catch them up and got them to wait for me! About 20-25 mins walk from the huge amazing Kyoto station but even if you don't like walking, this walk is lovely to and from the hotel and the station as you walk past a VERY old temple which apparently is one of the largest wooden structures in the world! It is still in use and you can go in and pray (or just look around). I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel and fully intend to stay here again on my next trip to Kyoto! | ||

| Guest comments | We found the hotel is a good location. Only minutes to the subway. It was also walking distance to the market which is a must visit, the river, shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and took the time to show us to our room and explain things to us. The bar, however, closes early. Would definitely stay there again. | ||
