Guest commentsWhen staying at the Allamanda you can use facilities at the 4 other hotels on the Laguna complex(restaurants, bars, pools, gyms & beach-you need a day pass for the latter 3 costing 350 baht pppd).Free shuttle buses run between each of the hotels.Allamanda provides kitchen facilities, rooms are large & very clean.Studio we stayed in this year had been recently painted. 3 pools at hotel. The beach is beautiful, massages cost only 400 baht. Several restaurants on the beach & just outside resort serving excellent asian, western and Indian food at prices much less than in hotels.Highly recommend BlueBells & Little India. Resort is a little far from Patong and Phuket Town(30 mins by car).Car hire is only 1000 baht pd for jeep with air con.Have stayed at the Allamanda for the past 4 years and would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to stay near Bang Tao beach. Not the plushest of the 5 hotels on the Laguna resort but cheapest and wouldn't hesitate staying there on my next visit to Phuket.

Guest commentsStayed in a suite backing onto the golf course - very roomy with kitchen/lounge/dining area and separate bedroom/bathroom. Daily power interruptions although of relatively short duration were irritating. Booked a car and driver at the Transport Desk for pick-up the next morning but they wrote down the wrong room so driver left - took another 45mins to arrange alternate transport-would have been a problem if catching a plane. In summary, facilities are good value but staff aptitude falls a bit short of the mark - a good economy class hotel.

Guest commentsIt is a resort where value for money compare to the other resort within the same compound. However, the rooms and facilities are abit old which not all are in good working condition. It is quite convenience to get to the beach from Allamanda as well, as the ferry jetty is just at the pool side. Overall not a back resort to be in if you need all the facilities at a reasonable price.
