The Beachfront restaurant located right next to the hotel was fantastic. It was called "The Golden Beach" I think and the food was fresh and really delicious and very cheaply priced. The turtle sanctuary is only a 5 mintue drive away and it is well worth the time to visit. The protect and release the turtle eggs and you can visit the center free of charge.

During our trip to Kuantan, we went to shop at Berjaya Mall which is located at the city centre. We also went to Teluk Cempelak, Lake Chini, Cherating and even drove up to Chukai, the border of Trengganu. We enjoyed ourselves very much at Lake Chini and Cherating beach.

Quite far from town. Should provide transport for guests. Btw we would like to thank staff named Rosli who treat us so well on our first day at Legend Resort.

There are not a lot of interesting places around. It is possible to go to Cherating village: there is one very good crafts and souvenirs shop. The other nearest town is Kemaman. We did not find anything interesting there. Apparently in the hotel it is possible to organize some full day trips, though we did not use this opportunity as a warm sea and beach were enough attractive themselves to stay where we were.

Because we had to cut short our holiday we did not get around to places we would have liked to. We had planned to go to the night markets and also do some turtle watching but basically had planned just a quiet time on the beach and around the hotel to relax. The food was very good the American buffet breakfast was excellent. Also the meals at the beach cafe were very very good. I would definately recommend this hotel.

Took a drive along the coast up to Chendol. Senic route, very peaceful and slow pace of life there. Good place to go and relax / de-stress.

Try out Thai / Malaysian seafood at Duyong Restaurant & simple Italian fare at Payung Cafe, very eccentric 'kampung' ambience, and large portions. Both located at Cherating Lama beach area. Great Cappucino at the Pop Inn Pub & Cafe. Also at the same area. Note: cheap beer as well.
