Langkawi is definitely a place to see, we had so much fun touring there and went island hoping and snorkelling, we also visited the cable car which was a fabulous experience and some other locations in the island. I am sure there are lots to see there, but considering we spent only three days there, it was very eventful.

A lot of places of interest, 2 days not enough. Ikan Bakar restaurant near the seaside is highly recommended.

The hotel location was quite good, as it is quite near to the ferry terminal, about 5 minutes driving. It is near to the rest of the shopping vicinity too. But rate to destination need to be par with the rest of the market, so that visitors can tag with the hotel for itenary instead of going out to ferry terminal to get better deal package.

We got to the hotel via a taxi and travelled around mainly via taxis. We went on a tour of an island which was good however it was very commercial and there were hundreds of people on the tour.

Langkawi is fairly undeveloped with only a dozen or so international standard hotels. The quality of the roads is good and the driving standards are high so take your driving licence, cars are easy to hire.
Snorkelling around the island is poor, a trip to the marine park is possible but it is very busy and there doesn't seem to have been at lot of recent investment.

The place is like a paradise. It's a perfect place to unwind and relax. The best restaurant in town is in the beach garden resort.

Do the island tour. There are a few restaurants in just walking distant from the hotel.

Of the excursions, watching the Eagles feeding was an experience. Others seemed keen on the mountain bike treks.
All in all an excellent choice for a luxury break and way better value than competitors like The Datai (although it's worth the trip there for a Thai meal and drinks) or the Pankor Laut Resort.
